There's a little unincorporated town about 6 miles from me. It's called Polonia. There's a heavy Polish heritage in the area I live in. My wife's grandparents could speak Polish as well as well as English.

The “east end” of Winona, across the Hog Line was all Polish at one point. That’s the only part of Winona where lot sizes were cut in half and 2 houses were built where 1 should have been. No yards. Roof to roof. There’s also a Polish heritage museum nearby.
