Made some picnic tables out of slabs today..

Got a new company vehicle, Ford Ranger crew cab.

Promptly removed the rear seat, which would have been unusable behind me anyway.

Made a platform for toolbag, parts etc.

Removing the seat freed up a lot of space.

Waited for dad and nephew to get up and went to Grand today. Couldn't hardly keep the whites off the minnows and jigs today. Decent day with that being only a part of the 20 crappie invited to the oil bath tomorrow for lunch. Vacation in another week, should be able to catch some on Stockton while trolling then.

I'm not sure why they were around the dock the way they were. The amount of them and the length of time we caught them is unusual. Should be post spawn and hunting food right now. The increase in water levels and muddy conditions in the neosho river side might have pushed them up the elk river arm. Water had a bit of stain, but was surprisingly clear. Saw a few boats trolling for them while we were there, that is a fun time since they fight like crazy. They eat good if you want to take the time to cut the red off the fillet, for some reason we just toss them back. Kept these small ones for a friend who uses them to catch big catfish. Put them in the freezer last night and will send them home with him one day soon.

Lawnboy update.
It came with the original trickle charger for the battery. It still works. Disassembled the battery case, pulled the D cell pack out, brought it inside and started the charging process. So far it’s taking a charge, too. Have to make sure the battery will come up good then test the starter switch and starter motor because this one didn’t come with a pull rope assembly from the factory. Electric start only.

Good morning folks. Me thinks a trip to the out of town establishment is needed.

Used a hedge base on this one and redwood stain on the slab top and seats..
Gonna have to deliver this one with the loader tractor..it weighs about 300 pounds.
